Who We Are

The Torah House is a global prayer community operated through the website https://TheTorahHouse.com. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you visit our site or interact with our services.

For any privacy-related questions not covered in this policy, please contact us at [email protected] Attention: Hildegard Schneider.

What Personal Data We Collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it to us. This includes the following situations:

Blog Subscriptions

When you subscribe to our blog, WordPress retains your email address in order to send you notifications about new content. We have access to your name and email but we do not use this information for any commercial purpose.

Email Newsletter

When you sign up for our email list, your email address is collected and stored on the servers of our newsletter provider, currently MailChimp. We only collect data relevant to your subscription. You will receive occasional emails about Torah House news, information and prayer updates. Every newsletter contains a clearly visible Unsubscribe link at the bottom. Using that link will remove your email address from the database we have access to on MailChimp. We do not have control over how MailChimp handles your data beyond sending our newsletters to you.

Partner Sign-Up

If you sign up to become a partner of The Torah House Global Prayer Network through our online form, we use this data solely to list you as a Torah House partner. Your name will be added to our MailChimp list of leaders and coordinators so we can stay in touch with you. We will not sell or share your contact information with any third party.

Submission of Words, Dreams and Visions

When you complete our online form to submit a word, dream or vision, we review all submissions and may publish them on our website at our discretion. The online Google Form collects your IP address and browser user agent string for the purpose of spam detection.

Comments

When you leave a comment on our site, we collect the data shown in the comment form. You may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies so you do not have to re-enter your details when leaving future comments. These cookies remain active for one year.

How We Use Your Data

We use your personal information strictly for the purposes described above. Specifically:

  • To send you blog notifications and newsletter updates you have subscribed to.
  • To manage your participation as a Torah House prayer partner.
  • To review and potentially publish submitted words, dreams and visions.
  • To improve your experience when commenting on our site.

We do not sell your information to any third parties. Ever.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These cookies are stored for your convenience and last for one year.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images and audio from platforms like YouTube and SoundCloud. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you had visited those websites directly. These external websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with the embedded content. This includes tracking your activity if you have an account and are logged in to those websites.

How Long We Retain Your Data

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically without holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who become members on our website, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time, with the exception of their username. Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

Third-Party Services

  • We want to be transparent about the third-party services we use:
  • We sometimes advertise through Facebook and the audiences they develop. We are not responsible for how Facebook gathers their information.
  • We use Google Analytics to track the flow of traffic into and through our website. We cannot speak to what Google does with the data they collect.
  • We use MailChimp to manage our email newsletters and partner communications. Their own privacy policy governs how they handle data on their servers.
