In the previous article, we suggested that Putin might be Gog and that he has been steered around by YHWH and will be steered around even more.
“I will steer you about, and put hooks in thy jaws, and will bring you out with all your army, with horse and man, all fully armed, a great host with small and great shields; all bearing swords. You bring with you Persians, and Cushites, and Libyans, all bearing shield and helmet; also Gomer and all his host, those of Beth-togarmah, who dwell in the far north, with all their host; yea, you bring many nations with you.” Ezekiel 38:4-6
He would then be the one leading a non-Arab invasion. As Ezekiel lists, the following nations will be there:
Persia which is today’s Iran,
Cush which is today’s Etiophia,
Put which is today’s Libya, and also including parts of Sudan and
Beth Togarmah which is part of today‘s modern state of Turkey.
The Hebrew name Gomer refers to the Cimmerians who lived in what is now southern Russia “beyond the Caucasus”. They left their homeland north of the Black Sea, now Ukraine, in the 7th century BC when they were driven out by the Scythians. They then moved into the Caucasus, Armenia and Asia Minor in Western Asia, exerting great pressure on the Assyrians and other countries.
It is most remarkable that the players in this invasion are already positioned on the world stage and are in alliances with each other: Putin is giving military support to Libya in exchange for access to the Libyan energy market and the use of the Mediterranean ports in Tobruk and Darnah. In addition, Russia, Iran and Turkey are all present in Syria.
The allies are Islamic and they hate Israel. Just like Putin, who hates the West, and this includes Israel. In other words, they are all driven by the same motivation.
From the Scriptures we then learn what will probably be the next target of Putin and his non-Arab alliance: Israel. Putin’s actions are all the more dangerous because Russia has a close partnership with Iran and Syria.
So far, according to media reports, Israel has maintained a complex but stable relationship with Russia. But now Putin is hurling aggressive tones against Israel. For example, Russia recently expressed “deep concern” about Israel’s airstrikes on Iran-linked targets in Syria.
Russia has abandoned its tacit neutrality towards Israeli Defence Force (IDF) airstrikes in Syria was recently reported by Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, which also reported that Moscow would supply the Syrian government with more advanced military equipment to enable it to repel Israeli cross-border attacks and seal off Syrian airspace from its air force. This could greatly exacerbate the crisis in relations between the two countries, Israel and Russia. See also the two news articles below:

Russian Deputy Ambassador to the UN Security Council Dmitry Polyanskiy has expressed:
“Russia does not recognise Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which belongs to Syria.”
Avia Pro reports on Jan 27, 2022: Israel has criticised Russia for flying fighter jets near the Golan Heights.

“After Russian Su-35 fighters, Su-34 fighter-bombers and an AWACS aircraft escorted by Syrian air force fighters flew near the Golan Heights (the Israeli-occupied territory of Syria – ed.) a few days ago, Israel has expressed its discontent in this regard threatens a serious reaction and consequences. Israel said that Moscow violated the agreements between Israel and Russia on Syria by not informing about the upcoming mission and stressed that a harsh response could be given. Putin’s closeness to dictators like Assad and terrorists like those from Hezbollah, Israel’s arch enemies, makes it clear that Putin poses a formidable threat to Israel’s existence.
On 02/17/2022, the news portal www.allarab.news reported that Russia was conducting a military exercise with Syria, using nuclear-capable Tu-22M3 bombers and MiG-31 fighter jets, as well as 15 warships. During this time, over 150,000 Russian troops were preparing for the invasion of Ukraine. Russia officially entered the Syrian civil war in 2015 to prop up and stabilise the Syrian regime. As a result, Russia still has a naval base on the Mediterranean to this day, circumventing Turkey’s permission to move warships from the Black Sea across the Bosphorus.
With Putin allied with Iran, the nuclear threat from Russia, Syria and Iran is assuming extremely threatening proportions. Recently, Israel365news.com reported this:

Putin has massively upgraded Russia over the last decade, most recently with nuclear-capable hypersonic missiles.
These can change their altitude in the atmosphere and move along an unpredictable trajectory, so that their target is only known at the very last moment. In addition, they travel distances at unusual altitudes. For these reasons, it is assumed that hypersonic weapons cannot be detected with the help of terrestrial and space-based sensors. And since the attacked state cannot tell whether they are equipped with conventional or nuclear warheads, it may take the wrong countermeasures.
Russia’s alliance with Iran – which is arming itself with nuclear weapons – poses a massive threat to Israel, since it has been Iran’s declared goal to destroy Israel since the founding of the Jewish state.
A study of Ezekiel 38 illustrates the danger posed by Russia.
“Therefore prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog: Thus says the Lord YHWH; Will you not arise in that day, when my people Israel dwell in safety, and come out of your place, from the uttermost north, you and many nations with you …” (Ezekiel 38:14-15)
The farthest nation to the north, from Israel, is Russia.
Prepare yourself, and prepare all things for yourself, you, and all your host that is mustered unto you, and be at my service. After many days you shall be mustered out, at the end of the years you shall come into a land restored from hard, gathered out of many peoples, upon the mountains of Israel, which for a long time were made a desolate place: that is brought out from among the nations, and they dwell in safety all of them.”
Ezekiel 38:7-8
Here YHWH says that the whole array of the invasion with all the machinery of war is at his disposal.
When does YHWH send them into the land of Israel? We have a timing in Ezekiel 38:8:
“After many days you shalt be mustered; at the end of the years you shall come into a land restored from the sword, gathered out of many peoples, upon the mountains of Israel, which for a long time were made a desolation; that is brought out from among the nations, and they dwell in safety all of them.”
In the end of days. Here is the Hebrew word acharit, which refers to the end times. And they dwell in safety. The Hebrew word for “in safety” is betah and has the following meanings: secure or confident. The Israelis feel extremely secure about their military. They have the most sophisticated military equipment in the world, the best trained soldiers in the world, they have nuclear weapons, they are extremely confident. They have won wars three times in their history, against enemies much bigger than they were.
But Ezekiel goes on to say about Gog:
“And you will go up like a storm, you will come up like a cloud to cover the land, you and all your multitudes and many nations with you.” Thus says the Lord,YHWH : And it shall come to pass in that day, that things shall arise in your heart, and you shall devise an evil plan, saying: I will go up against an open land, I will come upon those who keep quiet, who dwell in safety – they all dwell without walls, neither have they bars and gates – to rob and to take spoil, to turn your hand against the restored ruined places and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and other possessions, people who inhabit the centre of the earth. Saba and Dedan and the buyers of Tarsish and all its merchants will say to you, ‘Do you come to rob? Have you mustered your warriors to take booty, to carry off silver and gold, to take away cattle and other possessions, to carry off a great spoil?” Ezekiel 38:9-13
Perhaps Gog has no thoughts of invading Israel now. But YHWH will guide his thoughts and „steer him around“. Nowadays we don’t have walls around cities. Until some time ago, the USA was the biggest protective wall around Israel and the Israelis bought many military weapons from them, and of course they improved them. And this protective wall of the USA has now fallen away.
This Gog-Magog war could never take place if the US superpower were still at Israel’s side. The behaviour of the USA is certainly also contributing to the current Russia-Ukraine conflict, and who knows whether the weak position of the USA will not also lead to Iran decisively deciding to advance its goal to annihilate Israel.
What we are seeing at the moment is players being brought onto the world stage.
And YHWH says:
“In the end of days it will come to pass that I will cause you to come upon my land, that the nations may know me, when I show myself holy in you, Gog, before their eyes.” Ezekiel 38:16
“I will show myself great and holy, and will make myself known in the sight of many nations. And they will know that I am YHWH.” Ezekiel 38:23
He will also use this war to restore His name in the world.

Prayer Targets
Scripture: “ You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.” Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan:
“You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’—Ezekiel 38: 9-11
Prayer: Abba, if indeed Putin is the “Prince of Rosh“ we ask that you would prepare the nation of Israel, her armed forces, the IAF, and the IDF for the coming invasion. May they trust in you to deliver them. May their military be ready, trained, and prepared for the coming invasion. May they cry out to you, and look to you for their redemption.
Scripture: Blow the trumpet in Zion,
Consecrate a fast,Call a sacred assembly;
Gather the people,Sanctify the congregation,
Assemble the elders,Gather the children and nursing babes;
Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber,
And the bride from her dressing room.
Let the priests, who minister to the LORD,
Weep between the porch and the altar;
Let them say, “Spare Your people, O LORD,
And do not give Your heritage to reproach,
That the nations should rule over them.
Why should they say among the peoples,
‘Where is their God?’ ”
Then the LORD will be zealous for His land,
And pity His people.
The LORD will answer and say to His people,
“Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil,
And you will be satisfied by them;
I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations.
“But I will remove far from you the northern army
And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land,
With his face toward the eastern sea
And his back toward the western sea;
His stench will come up,
And his foul odor will rise,
Because he has done monstrous things.” Joel 2:15-20
Prayer: May they cry out to you, and look to you for their redemption. May they trust in you to deliver them. When this Gog-Magog war happens, as it is prophesied in the scriptures, we ask that a spirit of repentance would fall, that the children of Israel would humbly cry out to you and look to you alone for you to deliver them from the nations of the North who would invade them. May you show yourself strong to them!
Scripture: “I will set My glory among the nations; all the nations shall see My judgment which I have executed, and My hand which I have laid on them. “So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day forward. Ezekiel 39: 21-22
Prayer: Abba, as this prophesy begins to unfold, we pray that in all of it, you would be glorified, you would reveal to all the nations who you are, that they may know that you are the God of Israel, the God eternal and everlasting, the King of Kings, the Messiah and Redeemer.
