April 2020 Prayer Theme

Those believers need to realise that NOT LISTENING and not taking any notice of this global warning, brings awesome consequences.

“Therefore hear, you nations, and know, O Congregation, what is among them. Hear O earth! Behold, I will certainly bring calamity on this people-The fruit of their thoughts, because they have not heeded My words Nor My Torah, but rejected it. Jeremiah 6:18-19 NKJV

What is happening all around us is completely unprecedented. Christians and all people of faith are now forbidden to assemble in their churches, mosques, temples, synagogues, community halls or houses.  You are forbidden to assemble on Shabbat or Sunday, or any other day of the week with any type of service, Bible study, Choir practice.  All the stuff that goes with an active church life is now cancelled until further notice. Even Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals are affected. This is a unique event.  It is as if our Father in Heaven has kicked all the crutches out from under our feet.

This is the time for us to communicate One to One with our Father above and ask Him , “What do you mean by all of this?”

 This is the time for believers in Yeshua, our Saviour, to ask for “Hearing Ears!”

This is the time to approach our LORD and Creator to ask what changes He wants us to make in our life?

May we each ask Him to show us where we have fallen short!

May we each ask Him to give us a spirit of repentance!

THE WHOLE WORLD STANDS ON THE CROSS ROADS

“But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you that it MAYBE WELL WITH YOU.’ “Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward. Jeremiah 7:23 NKJV

Wise King Solomon has given us the key to answered prayer in situations like we find ourselves in today:

“When there is famine in the land, pestilence or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemies besiege them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is; whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all your people Israel, when each one knows his own burden and his own grief, and spreads out his hands to this temple: THEN HEAR FROM HEAVEN YOUR DWELLING PLACE, AND FORGIVE, and give everyone according to all his ways, whose heart you know (for You alone know the hearts of the sons of men), that they may fear You, to walk in Your ways as long as they live. 2 Chronicles 6:28-30 NKJV

Solomon is saying in effect that REPENTANCE is the only way forward for us individually, as well as for our nations. This is confirmed in the following chapter when the LORD appeared to Solomon by night and said to him.

”When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 NKJV

The Apostle Peter has some more to say on the subject:

“The LORD is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NKJV

Perhaps this is the time to more closely examine one of the most baffling and extraordinary statements in Yeshua’s Sermon on the Mount as our Saviour states that not every believer will necessarily make it to the Kingdom of Heaven.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord’ have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV

The word “lawlessness” in the Greek, is anomia. Guess what it means?

“The condition of BEING WITHOUT law/Torah.

Because of ignorant of it

Because of violating it

If we truly want to KNOW Yeshua intimately, if we want to be counted as one of those that He knows intimately, we need to repent for NOT following His Torah (1 John 3:4), and then, in heartfelt repentance, we need to begin following His Torah, all of it, cover to cover, Genesis to Revelation.

This is a wake up call to return to following the Torah of Yeshua by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit!
